Flannery O'Connor: A National Treasure submitted by sumsaylor on July 17, 2022, 11:57am A striking collection of stories that feature memorable characters, set in the South, most during mid-Century. Stand-outs include "A Good Man is Hard to Find," "Everything That Rises Must Converge," "Revelation," "A Circle in the Fire," "The Temple of The Holy Ghost," and "The Displaced Person." O'Connor shines a light in the darker corners of the soul, but not without humor at times and always with insight into the human condition. Truly an American master, maybe our Chekhov. If you love short stories, this is a writer for you.
