Originally published in 1917 by McClelland, Goodchild and Stewart.
"Anne's true love, Gilbert Blythe, is finally a doctor, and they are about to be married in the orchard of Green Gables. Soon the happy couple will be bound for a new life together and their own dream house, on the misty purple shores of Four Winds Harbor. A new life means fresh problems to solve, fresh surprises"-- {u01C2}c Provided by publisher.

** spoiler alert ** submitted by sushai on June 23, 2020, 10:41pm Though it has some fun new characters, this book has Anne entering motherhood and focuses a lot on family life and matchmaking. Not my cup of tea.

The best of times and the worst of times for Anne submitted by tuttlium on June 28, 2023, 11:01am I'm a die-hard LM Montgomery fan and have read all the Anne books many times. This book particularly resonated with me when I was a new mother. This is the book where Anne and Gilbert (finally!) get married and move into their new house in a brand-new city. Many new characters are introduced and become beloved. Tragedy strikes for the Blythes, but they also find joy and happiness in the first years of their marriage.
