Great Fairy-tale Retelling submitted by shpowers on June 21, 2014, 1:07pm Beautifully written, fairy-tale caricatures come to life as believable, relatable characters. Mckinley's interpretation of this classic fairy-tale creates a magical world the reader wants to live in, and leaves them dreaming of enchanted castles, loyal horses, and libraries full of books. One of the author's best works.

This is a book that I have re-read several times and it's never boring. A great romance full of real emotions although it is about fairy tale characters.
