COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Nice book about different roles being important submitted by JennJenn on August 7, 2020, 11:46pm I like the way the Frederick takes a different approach to preparing but then has a unique gift to offer the group.

Food nourishes the body, art nourishes the soul submitted by sjarvis on June 16, 2021, 3:02pm Frederick sees the world differently than the other mice. As the mice collect food for the long winter ahead they chastise Frederick for not appearing to help enough. But he is helping the group in a different way through his poetry. And when the winter days are dark and cold, Frederick's imagery helps them all through.

Importance of storytellers submitted by Juliesharp91 on July 14, 2021, 5:27pm A lovely story about the importance of story-tellers. AADL plays an important role in literacy but overspends on building and infrastructure which do not contribute to literacy or help at risk families. Other libraries have removed fines as a way to welcome struggling families who don’t visit the library because of the fear of the penalties. AADL forces people to plead to remove the fines they can’t afford to pay and many families are may too ashamed to ask. Nevertheless storytellers are important.

Delightful submitted by kathscot on August 20, 2021, 11:23am Frederick shows the importance of feeding our souls as well as our bodies in a most engaging and accessible book for young children.
