Funny submitted by spielesfamilyMegkenna1 on August 6, 2011, 10:08am This book was very funny and exciting!

Totally entertaining! submitted by rsivaraj on August 19, 2011, 7:09pm So entertaining - and my young toddler loved the part where the three animals drink milk from the refrigerator!!!

competition submitted by kathscot on July 13, 2013, 1:50pm Kids can easily relate to the one-up-man ship of the animals as they count and compete.
BTW Theo LeSieg is Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss) when someone else illustrates.

simple counting book submitted by lulumama on July 20, 2013, 2:21pm rhyming about about counting to ten

10 Apples submitted by SBNB on June 19, 2014, 8:17pm It's not quite Dr. Seuss, but it's close.

Mixed feelings submitted by mdfalb on July 1, 2014, 6:34pm Cute and fun, but a little competitive...

Hooray! submitted by Fleepae on June 15, 2015, 3:11pm I really like Ten Apples up on Top!

Adding Apples submitted by crankycrack on July 21, 2016, 11:06am They add apples up to ten by balancing them on their heads. And a whole bunch of bears try to knock apples of off heads. Enjoy

Toppers submitted by FordAlpha on August 12, 2018, 9:51pm In a childlike spirit of one-upsmanship, a lion, tiger, and dog balance increasing numbers of apples on their heads (while performing other hijinks, of course). Early readers thus get a little counting and adding practice along with their phonetics. Theodore Seuss Geisel reserved his most creative flights of fancy for works under his own name, but the LeSieg Beginner Books are valuable for their more manageable word counts and everyday vocabulary (without invented words to confuse the beginner).

Fun submitted by crp on August 5, 2019, 7:47pm So entertaining - and my young toddler loved it!
