COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Crimson Fairy Book submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on July 27, 2014, 8:20am A later volume in Andrew Lang's series of fairy tales from around the world. Ogres, strange quests, shepards and royalty - often the similarities in these stories are as interesting as the differences. I find some of these to feel choppy or meandering, like the translations were faithful but there can be a lack of smoothness to the storytelling. It is wonderful to have all these collections available, especially with the quality original illustrations.
