COMMUNITY REVIEWS
A great not-so-scary book for Halloween or fall submitted by SaraP on October 11, 2013, 7:23pm This was one of my favorite picture books when I was around 4 or 5 years old - I enjoyed it sometimes even when it wasn't Halloween season. The illustrations are lovely and old-fashioned in their charm. The story is about two mice who accidentally end up taking secret care of the same pumpkin in the hopes of winning a prize. All the extra attention the pumpkin receives helps it grow into the biggest pumpkin ever! A perfect pre-bedtime book for younger kids during the fall season that won't scare them with ghosts and monsters. Also introduces youngsters to the potential rewards of caring for garden plants. Give it a try!
