AKA "I want to run for president and need to write a book" submitted by emroon on July 28, 2023, 10:01am It was like look at all the courage these people had to compromise with people who supported slavery. I don't really think JFK was doing what he thought he was doing. To me people would have more courage if they stood up for what was right rather than compromised to get things done. I know it's a fine line, but when so many of the examples were about politicians dealing with slavery talked about in glowing terms it made me uncomfortable. None the less if you're looking for digestable snippets of American history this is for you. Quick and easy to read.
