**** A Magic Carpet Ride

Abdullah finds his daydreams coming true, but not in the way he wishes. Many in this book are not what they appear to be. The sequel to Howl's Moving Castle.
I liked this book very much.
Castle In The Air submitted by lstorc on August 6, 2018, 4:13am Humorous and ridiculous in all the right ways
Great submitted by anacoluthon on August 18, 2018, 10:27am I enjoyed that this book focused on a different part of the world introduced in Howl's Moving Castle.
Charming submitted by Princess Cimorene on July 20, 2020, 11:33pm I love how Diana Wynne Jones writes sequels. She manages to make them so different, yet they always connect really perfectly to the previous book. This (along with Howl's Moving Castle) is one of her most charming stories, in my opinion. She really makes the reader fall in love with her characters and want to spend more time in their worlds.
Picks up around page 200 submitted by Diananana on July 19, 2023, 10:20am The first 200 pages of this book were rather unengaging, to the point that I considered giving up on it. However, I persevered and found the rest of the book to be more entertaining and similar in character to the first book in the trilogy, Howl's Moving Castle. As with the other books in this trilogy, characters and things are usually not what they seem and magic plays a big role.
