Good literature submitted by teri on August 13, 2019, 9:44am Set in the 1940's, this tells the story of a family moving from a big town to a small town - where the husband has his heart set on opening a grocery store. Set in Minnesota, and told from the eyes of the 12 year-old son; it's filled with laughter, tragedy, and all the things that happen in small towns. Hassler's writing is excellent!!
