Excellent sequel submitted by tuttlium on July 28, 2023, 6:13am The original book follows the mystery and secret discovery of some abandoned lake houses from the turn of the 19th century, along with a pair of living inhabitants from that time, by two kids. This sequel then follows the HGTV fantasy of buying one of those houses (the most splendid and least decrepit) and fixing it up into a modern (mid 20th century) livable house. (Much discussion of what the linoleum should be like.) Great for kids but even better for nostalgic adults with renovation dreams.
