COMMUNITY REVIEWS

My favorite history book! submitted by kubiakm on July 10, 2022, 5:50pm The first in Taylor Branch's incomparable trilogy of American in the MLK years introduces Dr. King's life, the roots of the Baptist tradition in the South, and nonviolence. I try to re-read this book once a year, and that's the only book in my life that's ever been the case for. Every time I read it, I'm struck by new elements of the story that have deep resonance today.
