A Window into Early American Life submitted by shawn_severance on July 9, 2017, 7:09pm This beautifully illustrated book traces the evolution of a homestead into a prosperous farm. It begins with a sketch of the early settlement - the forest and the indian trail and a foot bridge across Red Man Creek. Based on the real diary of a young boy (he worked hard on that farm!) it combines a firsthand account of pioneer life with sketches and explanation - brings history alive.
