The Beatles! submitted by 0liviap0pp on June 22, 2012, 2:09pm Known as The White Album, this is one of the Beatles' albums. This isn't my favorite of all their albums, but this one's pretty good.
Different submitted by sauerr on June 29, 2016, 6:57pm This album is very different from many of their other albums. If you like early beatles its very different. It's closer to late beatles but still different. They needed to finish a contract so it is the beatles only double album. It features a lot of experiments and generally just a different feel from many other albums but still has many hits.
The Beatles - "The White Album" on CD submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on August 13, 2016, 9:36am This is what most people know as "The White Album" although it is formally just "The Beatles" by title. It is broad in scope. "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da" is playful in tone. "Blackbird" is a beautiful, plantive song. "Rocky Raccoon" - one of my favorites - is a folk song story with wordplay. There are also tracks that are pop-y and ones that are experimental.
top notch

this collection of Beatles songs is one of their best for the songwriting, breadth and
scope of the music, and the creative nature of the subject matter. Rock, folk, fun, sad, long, short...
yes, it IS all over the map. Is it a jumbled mess? No Is it an organize masterpiece-not really
It is a wonderful collection of thought, lyrical fun, musical acumen, and entertainment!
Good, not the best submitted by keldan315 on August 25, 2018, 3:08pm There are quite a few good songs on this album, but it isn't the best Beatles album by far.
Yes submitted by alexmichaelp on July 12, 2019, 11:11pm This is a great album!
This is the Beatles coming apart. submitted by pepemama on June 19, 2020, 1:16pm Great individuals songs, but not cohesive.
three solo albums mixed together submitted by tisaallen on July 13, 2022, 3:59pm At this point the Beatles were working independently and bringing finished songs to the band. As a result, this collection of songs is all over the place and doesn't quite fit together as an album entity, and John and Paul each indulge their excesses without the other to smooth them out. The highlights are very good. My favorite is "Happiness is a Warm Gun."
Its good submitted by wilcomea on July 19, 2022, 4:03pm Some songs on this album are atrocious, but others are great- very hit or miss
Solos submitted by markwells on July 29, 2022, 11:24am A great group in turmoil records an album and this is what you get. The song collection is all over the map but there are some real gems in there. Grade: A.
Great, But...Uh...Not That Great submitted by Meginator on June 11, 2023, 6:19pm Ah, the White Album. This is an iconic record, and rightfully so, but it is surprisingly uneven and self-indulgent given its outsize reputation. While the highlights are up there with the Beatles’ best recordings, the album is dominated by meandering filler that doesn’t play to the group’s strengths (likely because they weren’t really functioning as a group by this point); the band’s lofty ambitions and eyes toward experimentation are evident throughout, but are sometimes as aimless as they are inspirational. Still, there’s a lot to like here, and the album is unquestionably vital to understanding the rapid changes happening in pop and rock music during this period. In a way, too, it functions as a microhistory of the Beatles themselves, with Merseybeat-adjacent crowd-pleasers presented alongside whatever is going on in “Revolution 9”; even at their most disjointed, the band could create incredible, memorable music that withstands the test of time.
