Community Reviews

I read this as a child and recently revisited it. Such a great story with deep discussions of life and aging.

This is a great book that makes you realize immortality comes a cost.

Heart felt

This book was incredible. It makes you think about the consequences of being immortal, which is new considering these days everyone wants a fountain of youth and immortality. I like how the ending is special and unexpected considering it's revolving around a very young girl who could have made an insanely life changing choice

Better than ever

It tells you a tale the should never stop

A Classic

An absolutely great book. Enough description to produce vivid images, but not at all over-written. Overall, a sensational take on the age-old question of immortality.

Fantastic book about a curious girl, a spring that if you drink the water you become immortal and a family that's old, very, very old.
