A Good Historical Fiction Book
The Fighting Grounds is a book about a boy who wants badly to fight in the Revolutionary War. It takes place in 24 hours. When 13 year-old Jonathan hears the bells ringing calling for soldiers, he rushes eagerly to join them. But just a few hours later, his views have changed dramatically.
This is a well written book about the horrors of war. It shows how many events can radically change a boy's entire mondset, while at the same time providing an interesting and exciting story.
