The Best of the Series submitted by Jan Wolter on June 17, 2013, 8:45am This book, the 4th book of "The Chronicles of Prydain" is the reason to read the series, and rather a departure from the series as well. The hero takes a break from the war against evil, and goes out to figure out who and what he is. The book is very allegorical, something I usually find boring, but what Taran learns is odd and wise.
