Fans of Doctor Who and/or the Pirate Planet must read! submitted by cherylo on July 8, 2011, 9:29pm You may know that Douglas Adams wrote one of the most popular classic Doctor Who stories (The Pirate Planet, Fourth Doctor, part of the Key to Time arc). It certainly seems that Mr. Adams had more time lord stories in him, because at least part of this plot seems to involve another time traveler who seems suspiciously like someone who harkens from Gallifrey. This book is tightly plotted, with loopy meditations on the nature of time and detection and excellent pacing. It is one of my favorite books ever. If you even slightly like Doctor Who, Terry Pratchett, or Mr. Adams' other works, I strongly suggest you read this book.

Doctor Who lite submitted by brady.emmett on July 15, 2017, 4:06pm You can tell that this was a rejected plot to a Doctor Who episode. It is entertaining, but I'm sure parts of it went over my head.

dirk gently submitted by qmomo on June 27, 2019, 9:39pm enthusiasts of adams' better known series are likely to enjoy this as well, his wry humor and far out plots are again in evidence, though it's not as joke-a-minute as i recall hitchhiker's guide being i found the plot very intriguing.
