HR Casual Positions

Casual positions are part-time, non-union, at-will.

With some administrative exceptions, hours worked are not to exceed 19 hours per week Sunday through Saturday.

For some casual positions, additional hours may be worked on a rotational, on-call or as-needed basis.

Specific work schedules are dependent on the Library's operating hours and the relevant department's needs. Most public service positions require some evening and/or weekend hours.

There are no benefits associated with hourly positions.

All pooled positions are casual.

Note: The Library does not offer seasonal employment. It is anticipated that employees will be available for work for longer than three (3) month time periods.
