Secretary Leary, supported by Vice President Barney Newman, moved that the District Library hereby suspend work on the Downtown Library Building Project.
After a discussion of the timeline and work completed to date, the Board concurred that this is a good point at which to suspend the Project because the Library can use the comprehensive information obtained from the work to date. That information will enable the Library to identify and prioritize actions needed to keep the present Downtown facility in the best possible condition.
